dc.description.abstract | This paper examines everyday mobility within the framework of changing gender relations, considering both biological sex and social gender. It highlights how incorporating a gender perspective into mobility research requires specific approaches to data collection, analysis, and evaluation. Using the German national mobility survey “Mobilität in Deutschland” (MID 2008), the study applies gender mainstreaming to assess the extent to which gender aspects—such as care work and accompanying dependents—are recognised. The findings show that while these dimensions are present in survey designs, they remain marginally addressed in analyses and publications, underscoring the need for greater integration of gender perspectives in mobility studies. | |
