Abstract
This catalogue presents the AESOP Quality Recognition Programme and showcases planning programmes awarded during its Standard Phase between 2019 and 2025. It brings together examples of recognised quality in planning education across Europe, documenting the diversity of institutional contexts, curricula, pedagogical approaches and professional traditions within the AESOP community. The publication highlights programme characteristics, learner-centred teaching methods, studio-based and research-oriented learning, stakeholder engagement, internationalisation, and innovative showcase practices. It also reflects on the role of quality recognition as a peer-based, dialogical and developmental process aimed at strengthening planning education, encouraging mutual learning, and supporting the continuous enhancement of curricula in response to contemporary socio-spatial, environmental and technological challenges.
