Abstract
This contribution examines whether climate resilient development (CRD) can be transformative, focusing on the interplay between technology, governance, and practice. It explores how local climate resilient development can be co-created through collaboration between researchers, public authorities, and other stakeholders, using the Oslofjord region as a case study. The text highlights the role of the CRED – Center for Climate Resilient Development – as a platform for knowledge co-production and practical action, addressing challenges such as land-use conflicts, governance complexity, and the need for integrated approaches to sustainability. It situates these discussions within broader global climate frameworks, emphasizing the urgency of transformative adaptation and mitigation pathways.
