Quality Recognition Programme

Abstract

This contribution introduces the AESOP Quality Recognition (QR) Programme, outlining its evolution from the pilot phase (2015) to the current framework (2023–2026). It presents the mission and ethos of the programme, emphasizing peer learning, reflexivity, and continuous quality enhancement in planning education. The text discusses recent revisions of criteria and guidance, as well as ongoing dissemination activities, including the QR Catalogue of Showcase Practices (2019–2025). It also reflects on key programme processes such as interim reports, feedback meetings, and evaluation reports, and highlights the programme as a voluntary, supportive, and collaborative framework for strengthening educational quality within AESOP member schools.
