| dc.description.abstract | Urban residential segregation, shaped by historical, economic, political, and cultural factors, varies in its spatial form, which varies across regions (Dadashpoor, 2024). Recent approaches by architects and planners explore links between the built environment and the inhabitant’s socioeconomic traits, highlighting specific spatial features that can reinforce segregation (Vaughan et al., 2005; Knaap & Rey, 2024; Legeby, 2013). This study builds on these approaches and proposes a framework focused on spatial connectivity and accessibility in relation to socioeconomic deprivation in the Czech Republic. The focus is on access to amenities, public transportation, and urban connectivity. The research methodology is grounded in identifying localities with high concentrations of socially excluded residents, using available data on recipients of the subsistence allowance (Sýkora, 2015). | |
