The Congress brought together researchers, educators, practitioners, and decision-makers in the field of spatial and urban planning, under the theme "Why can't the future be more like the past?"
The publication includes over 600 abstracts grouped into 18 thematic tracks, covering a wide range of topics such as planning theory, climate change, multicultural societies, transport planning, housing, urban design, resource management, planning in China, energy policy, and rural development. The contributions reflect a diversity of approaches and methodologies, including theoretical and conceptual discussions, case studies, innovative planning tools, and critical analyses of current practices.
