In the context of the global economy, accessibility has emerged as a crucial issue in transportation and urban regional planning. As a central link between transportation and land use, accessibility is also a key indicator of transportation system efficiency. This paper employs GIS-based accessibility analysis to investigate its role and measurement in supporting regional economic growth. By demonstrating how accessibility analysis can be implemented in a GIS environment, the paper highlights its potential to enhance planners’ understanding and contribute to improved decision-making processes.
