| dc.description.abstract | With rapid urbanisation, many aging communities in China face deteriorating infrastructure and limited spatial functionality, impacting vulnerable groups such as the elderly, disabled, and children. This study argues that renewal efforts must go beyond physical upgrades to include multifunctional spaces, barrier-free design, and community cultural integration. Focusing on Daguan Subdistrict in Hangzhou, the paper analyses issues such as spatial deficiency, fragmented environments, and inadequate services. It proposes inclusive renovation strategies to enhance living quality, address diverse user needs, and support sustainable development. The study offers a systematic framework for inclusive community renewal, serving as a reference for similar urban regeneration projects. As urbanisation advances, continual refinement of design approaches is vital to building more inclusive, equitable, and resilient neighbourhoods. | |
