Abstract

This document presents the official programme of the 2nd World Planning Schools Congress (WPSC-06), held in Mexico City from 12 to 16 July 2006. It includes the overall structure and schedule of the congress, with detailed information on plenary sessions, parallel sessions, thematic tracks, mobile workshops, and social events. The programme also provides practical information for participants, including session guidelines, organizational details, and logistics related to the venue at the Palacio de Minería. The programme is contextualized by introductory addresses, including a welcome note by the Chair of the GPEAN International Steering Committee, which highlights the development of the World Planning Schools Congress from its inception in 2001 to a global platform uniting nine planning school associations. The text emphasizes the role of the Global Planning Education Association Network (GPEAN) in fostering international collaboration, strengthening communication, and promoting the quality and visibility of planning education worldwide.
